Michelman to Present Sustainable Packaging Solutions at the seventh Edition CPRJ Plastics in Packaging Conference & Showcase

Michelman, well known as an innovator in the development of water-based barrier and functional coatings for various substrates including oriented films, paper, and foil, will present an introduction to its flagship technologies on 1 August 2019, at Sheraton Grand Shanghai Pudong Hotel, China. This year marks the first time that Michelman has attended or presented at the CPRJ Plastics in Packaging Conference & Showcase.
Wanqiang Chen, Senior Technical Specialist for Michelman China will introduce attendees to the company’s environmentally conscious solutions for the Corrugated, Folding Carton, Food Service, and Protective Packaging industries. His presentation entitled “Introduction to Sustainable Packaging” will offer attendees an overview of Michelman solutions such as overprint varnishes, print receptive primers, gas barrier coatings, extrusion primers, and slip/anti-block additives. He will discuss how Michelman coatings offer paper plates, cups, and packaging improved water barrier for perishable and frozen foods; oil and grease resistance for bakery and fast food service applications; and improved release properties for frozen meats and meals.
