Cosfibel Premium has designed and manufactured a prestige presentation box for Diageo’s flagship Johnnie Walker brand’s Platinum Label super premium extension.
According to the France-based luxury packaging specialist, the new Johnnie Walker Platinum Label coffret will be launched in November in time for the 2013 Christmas holiday season.
Having created a limited edition 18 Year Old blend, Diageo selected Cosfibel Premium to manufacture the Private Case: a plastic injected coffret, lined in anthracite gray PU with grainy leather effect, evoking a travel trunk with its silver metal riveted corners and handle.
The only external ornament on the coffret is a laser-engraved steel label, which is a magnetic plate that functions as a key.
To open the coffret, the label/key is inserted in the slit on the side of the coffret where, once positioned, it doubles as a handle that sets off a gently sliding lateral opening.
The bottle is then revealed inside, framed by padded grey pearl nubuck and decorated with an embossed logo.
The new coffret was designed by the Chic agency.
