BASF appoints new head of Pigments & Resins Europe business unit

Dr. Alexander Haunschild, who as Senior Vice President is currently responsible for the automotive coatings business at BASF Coatings in Münster, will become the head of BASF's business unit Pigments & Resins Europe on August 1, 2014. He succeeds Ralf Spettmann who has been heading the Construction Chemicals operating division of BASF since July 1, 2014.
After completing his studies and his doctorate in chemistry at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Alexander Haunschild joined BASF in 1995. He is married and has two sons.
