Linx Printing Technologies

Linx Printing Technologies has announced the appointment of Henk van Duijnhoven as md and Tony Stafford as group finance director. In January Linx came under new ownership following its acquisition by American Fortune 500 company Danaher Corporation. An MIT MBA holder, Van Duijnhoven joins from Danaher's Product Identification Group, where he held several senior roles, while Stafford was most recently financial controller of Danaher-owned Zipher.

Ball Packaging Europe

John A Hayes, Ball Corporation's vice-president, corporate strategy, marketing and development since 2003, has been appointed vice-president of Ball Packaging Europe, where he will be in overall charge of the company's aluminium and steel beverage production at 12 European locations.

Sandiacre Packaging Machinery

Manufacturer of vertical form, fill, seal bagging machinery Sandiacre Packaging Machinery has a new sales and marketing director. Michael Woods, a member of the Processing and Packaging Machinery Association's board from 2002-2004, has many years' senior management experience in the packaging machinery sector and other industries, having previously worked for Alcan, Bradman Lake and ADCO.

BCP Fluted Packaging

Andrew Shepherd, who has run the planning and supervision of major projects for Blackburn-based BCP Fluted Packaging since early May, has taken up the role of purchasing and planning manager. Shepherd has four years' packaging sector experience in the food sector, gained with Perseco Europe, a procurement and supply chain management company that holds contracts with McDonalds and Pret a Manger.

Tri-Star

Food packaging specialist Tri-Star has appointed Keith Clarke, who has worked in the food industry for over 24 years, as its field sales manager. Reporting to general sales manager Lee Richards, Clarke, who joined from disposables manufacturer for the catering industry Pal International, will develop the company's field sales force and oversee its smooth running.

Pollard Boxes

Pollard Boxes has strengthened its position in Scotland with the appointment of rigid box specialist Keith Bullock. His key task will be developing new business in Scotland.

Doyen Medipharm

Alan Isaacs, founder and architect of packaging and converting process machinery supplier to the medical and pharma sectors Doyen Medipharm, has announced his retirement after almost 14 years heading the Group. Under his guidance the company has grown into a leading industry player, with operations in the UK, the US and Malaysia.
