Following the death at the age of 52 of Richard Drew, his business partner Ian Jamie is taking over as managing director of Clear Packaging. He relinquishes the managing directorship of Coventry-based Carton Edge to concentrate on further development of the Cheltenham producer of specialised plastics cartons.
"Richard's death is a sad and personal loss and a blow to the business which we set up together only 18 months ago," says Mr Jamie. "In the first year alone, Clear Packaging's sales under his lead passed the £million mark and already are set to move further ahead this year." The company has established a niche market in transparent outer cases in PVC, PP and PET for retail.
