Xeikon Café event to highlight digital production innovation

17 March 2014

Xeikon will be running its next Xeikon Café event, on how innovations in digital production can enhance the label and packaging industry, at the company’s production site in Lier (Antwerp), Belgium, from Tuesday to Thursday, 20-22 May 2014.

Attendance is free for label and packaging printers and converters, as well as print buyers, at the Xeikon event that promises to show how to turn short to medium runs into profitable business.

The itinerary for the Xeikon Café event – which will be held in conjunction with Xeikon Aura partners AB Graphic International, ACTEGA Terra, Argos Solutions, Bograma, CERM, CHILI Publish, Diamond Photofoil, Grafisk Maskinfabrik, Highcon, Hybrid Software, Iggesund, Kama, Label Traxx, Meech International, Michelmann, Rietstack, Schober International, Siliconature, Squid Inks, ThermoFlexX, Treofan and Tronics – will be repeated on each of the three days.

The concept is described by the company as “simple but effective”, to provide an informal knowledge exchange platform covering the different aspects of digitalising print production, while “cutting through the information overload”.

Through demonstrations, presentations, workshops and discussions, participants receive first-hand actionable information and advice on industry innovations and trends.

Filip Weymans, Xeikon’s director of segment marketing labels & packaging, says: “Whether you’re new to digital production or have already integrated digital printing into your workflow, this event is an ideal opportunity to discover the huge potential of digital printing and automated production workflows, and to learn how integrated digital production solutions can drive innovation and help established print producers grow their business even further.”
