WORKSHOP'S NEW PACKAGE
Workshop Coffee is incredibly excited to announce the launch of its newly developed, bespoke coffee bag. Having scrutinised everything from its shape and height to the design of the labels that adorn each one, the company has sought to ensure quality at every level.
The custom-made, re-sealable bag ensures continued freshness, whilst unpacking the details of each coffee into a clear and approachable grid system ensures continued quality of information.
Most excitingly, a change in bag size has allowed Workshop Coffee to create a product that, for one - and two-bag orders, is capable of fitting through almost every conceivable letterbox. So instead of a trip to the post office, online customers can now expect to arrive home to their coffee ready and waiting for them on their doormat.
Underpinning the new packaging is the launch of Workshop Coffee Roastery. Located in London's Bethnal Green and the result of months of hard work, the new 3,500ft dedicated production space affords the production team two important developments to their quality-driven approach: resource and time.
A brand new 25kg roaster, a climate-controlled storage room and a ColorTrack laser analysis unit are just some of the pieces of equipment they've added to the space. Workshop Coffee's Head of Production, Richard Shannon, adds: " With these resources we hope to better analyse, learn and develop our understanding and control of the different elements that help create the best coffee possible. Above anything else, Workshop Roastery will allow us to continue improving our Quality Control, whilst also allowing us to meet the incredible demand we've had from our global wholesale and e-commerce platforms."
In the process of improving their packaging, the company has also taken the opportunity to refine their brand. From 16th November 2015, a new bold and distinctive 'W' will embellish each and every one of its coffee bags, as well as its five stores, acting as the hallmark for the cleanest, sweetest, freshest coffee possible.
Designed by award winning agency Sea Design and implemented by leading branding agency Birch Creative, this development coincides with the busiest period in Workshop's four-year history.
James Dickson, owner of Workshop Coffee, states:
" The creation of the iconic 'W" has really underpinned a lot of the design work for the new package, with its distinct, precise and powerful look. We can't wait to see it go live."
