Weyfringe competes with new thermals

22 January 2004

Weyfringe Labelling Systems has launched a new range of thermal transfer label printers. The companys says the H and V Series of printers have been designed to "offer a feature rich specification at a very competitive price".

The larger of the two ranges is the H Series, in both 203 and 300dpi versions, which is supplied with free unlimited use label design and print software.

When difficult environments preclude the use of a PC the H Series can also be operated as a stand-alone printer without a PC. A large multi-line LCD keeps the operator informed of the printer status and prompts for variable data entry in stand-alone mode.

Also available is the V Series which is said to be ideal for less demanding applications. It features a compact yet sturdy clamshell design and belies its size by offering a print speed of up to 150mm/sec and holds a full size ribbon roll. Users can choose to house the label roll inside the printer or use the optional external roll holder capable of taking a 203mm diameter roll.

Prices start from under £500 for the V Series which also comes with software to design and print an unlimited number of label designs including text, barcodes and graphics.
