The machines feature sealed CO2 technology, which is virtually maintenance-free, and the systems are said to be simple to install and feature easy to use control panels and software. Weber says hundreds of formats can be designed stored and accessed at the touch of a button and multiple units can be networked and operated from a single host.
The coders have been designed to meet a variety of differing requirements including static marking and very high speed, in motion applications. Typical throughput varies from 1300 to around 2500 products/min, depending on the model and application. For wet, dusty or dirty environments, the SolarJet HD has a sealed, stainless steel construction that meets NEMA 4 and IP64 standards.
All models are said to offer a variety of options, enabling them to be tailored to individual customer needs and applications.
Weber has also established a laser application programme where tests can be carried out on the product or pack to be coded in order to ensure the most appropriate model is recommended.
The new laser coder range follows the launch earlier this year of Weber's first ink-jet coders following the acquisition of Mark-O-Print in January.
