WANTED: packaging companies to locate in Lincolnshire

1 June 2004

A Lincolnshire council is appealing to UK packaging businesses to relocate or set up in and around Grimsby, the home to around 500 food-related companies all requiring packaging expertise.

North East Lincolnshire Council says, although land and premises are available for packaging businesses wishing to move to the district, very few have relocated there. Economic development officer Andrew Moore says relocation grants are available from Europe, Westminster and Lincolnshire local authorities. The Council has also masterminded an ongoing multi-million pound project, the 21st Century Business Space Programme, devoted specifically to finding suitable business sites for incomers.

Moore says there is an unfulfilled local need for a diverse spectrum of packaging companies.
