The compact customised line includes an infrared preheat tunnel for the plastic container, a separating carousel, and a high-speed Sleevit 400 SL applicator running at 300/min. A precision T perforator is placed in the final section of the web path and provides an easy opening facility for the user that still preserves the main body decoration.
Next down the line is a Sleevit inspection unit that checks for sleeve integrity, followed by 3m of re-circulating electric hot air tunnels.
The whole line is integrated with line control and backup sensors with twin, large capacity unwinds to minimise downtime due to reel changes. The system is loaded with up to 2km of sleeve lay-flat material, which is said to halve the time taken to introduce a new reel.
