Vision and rejection system

10 September 2005

Isoma has developed a vision and rejection system to monitor and reject containers or packages with visual abnormalities undetectable to the naked eye.

The system also identifies quality issues by checking features such as cap alignment, cap height and colour, label position and barcode verification.

Running at the high speeds required for modern manufacturing plants, the programmable system screens individual camera images against pre-set criteria from a variable datum position.

Integrated into the conveyor system, the unit uses a low impact "Mexican wave" motion to allow efficient removal of faulty containers on-line without interrupting the flow of good products.
