Vacu Vin goes for striking new brand image

Its aims were to enhance the products’ shelf impact and differentiate the brand from “lower level copycats”.

Jaap H Formsma, vice-president, operations, says: “Previously we had diverse packages for different products and used mainly white lined chipboard. The revamp’s goal was to upgrade the packs to a new level. Red, white and silver, our new identifying colours, are now visible throughout the range.”

“With the design featuring large white surfaces, Vacu Vin needed a board that would provide the required whiteness and clean impression," explains Stora Enso Netherlands sales manager Peter Daams. “ Printing became more demanding with a sixth colour added and some text being printed on a silver surface. Performa White worked well in the printing and converting processes.
