Updated films from BPI

1 September 2006

BPI Films has upgraded two of its “best-selling” protective films ranges to cut user costs and make it easier for firms to comply with EU Packaging Waste regulations.

Its SP1film for protecting toughened glass in transit has been downgauged for better economy from 50 to 40 micron, to give 920m compared with 737m in a standard roll, without product quality being compromised.

Meanwhile improved versions of BPI’s "best-selling" hand film products, Clingtech PremiumXtra S16 (14 micron) and Clingtech PremiumXtra S16 (12 micron) can now replace a 16 or 17 micron and a 13, 14 or 15 micron hand film respectively.

Both will wrap lightweight crushable items such as boxes of crisps and heavyweight items like pallets of cans, and should reduce users’ film costs by 15-18 per cent.
