Tullis Russell announces extension to bespoke cutting Xpress service

Recognising the need from European printers for readily available stocks in specific sizes, the expanded service, which operates from the Netherlands, will provide printers with a rapid delivery service on orders for bespoke sheets sizes of their premium carton board range Trucard. In addition to the Trucard 1 and 2 gloss versions already held in a wide range of grammages, the board maker is now also offering a range of their recently introduced coated 1 matt bright white as well as their uncoated Trucard 0 specifications. The Xpress service offers delivery options of five or 10 days on quantities of one to 10 tonnes.
Malcolm Sinclair, Export Sales Director commenting on the expanded service said "With the trend towards smaller volume runs and quicker turnarounds prompted by the desire to come to market quickly and flexibly, we wanted to make sure we could provide the board availability to support our partners. "Many of the brands being launched in areas such as cosmetics and beauty care are looking for choice and innovation in the board options they specify but still look for the same levels of service enjoyed on their "standard" grades. With this exciting extension of the Trucard Xpress service we are able to offer increased choice matched with an extremely flexible and quick delivery service."
Trucard offers one of the largest range of any SBS carton board on the market today with a variety of surfaces weights and environmental options. The whole range, both coated and uncoated is FSC certified with many 50% post-consumer waste recycled options available. The entire portfolio uses a twin-wire base, creating a true carton board, which provides bulk, stiffness and dimensional stability and delivers exceptional print and converting performance.
