Trials prove traysealers' superiority

21 June 2006

Following competitive trials with machinery from several manufacturers Farmhouse Fare, producer of traditionally made puddings, has purchased two Packaging Automation Vision 182 automatic tray sealers to keep pace with growing demand.

General manager Allison Metcalf explains: “We originally had two semi-automatic machines hired from Packaging Automation and were impressed with the equipment and the company’s service. With our sales increasing very quickly it was essential to upgrade to something that could handle the increased throughputs we need to keep up with demand.”

The two machines are being used to seal puddings baked into CPET trays, with current throughputs of 40 packs/min over an eight-hour day.

Metcalf adds: “We have found the Vision 182s very reliable, with short changeover times.”
