Thinner, faster labelstocks from Avery Dennison

14 October 2007

The “unique” new Fasson Lean Film labelstocks’ “unique feature” is the facestock’s thinness, due to which Avery says users can significantly increase the number of labels printed per converted reel and thus reduce reel changes.

Jan ‘t Hart, senior product manager, Avery Dennison Roll Materials Europe, says: “Based on customer trials we see estimated average savings of around 22% less downtime. The films’ lower caliper will also reduce environmental impact all round. Thinner film, more labels per reel, less steps on the press and label dispensing line, and lower weight and bulk all mean ‘leaner’ manufacturing, handling and end use.”

Fasson Lean Film is optimised for primary product labels in a range of “typical” label sizes and available transparent or white, topcoated and non-topcoated.
