Thermoformed APET packs are tamper-evident

19 May 2006

Plus Pack, the Danish-headquartered foil and plastic packaging producer for the food sector, has launched for the growing UK convenience market a range of ready-to-serve thermoformed APET packs incorporating a tamper-evident closure.

The company, which recently established a UK sales office, claims to be “one of the few plastic manufacturers to have mastered tamper-evident technology within thermoforming”.

The SquarePac packs are designed for the “more discerning delicatessen and take-away market”, and come in five sizes, from 250ml-1litre, all in a stylish square design and available in clear or black/clear. They are stackable, while the close-fitting lid can only be removed by breaking the tamper-evident seal.

The containers are designed to be placed directly onto the dinner table, rather than transferring the contents to a serving bowl, and are intended for foods ranging from delicatessen items to slice fruit.
