Tetra Recarts used for prepared veg

17 August 2005

Bonduelle, one of the European leaders in ready prepared vegetables, has launched its Bonne Cuisine vegetable recipes in the UK in Tetra Pak's retortable, easy-to-open Tetra Recart packs.

Claimed to be the world's first retortable food carton, Tetra Recart is designed to be stored in the fridge once opened. Tetra Pak says the containers ensure the original quality of the vegetables "remains the same from the day they are picked to the day they are served".

Bonduelle managing director Tjen Schifferstein says: "We have chosen to launch our new range with a packaging concept that is entirely new and is, we believe, the way forward for ambient vegetable products. We've realised one of the greatest problems for busy UK consumers is having the time to prepare fresh vegetables."
