Tetra Pak invests €32.6m in Lund HQ expansion

16 May 2007

Dennis Jönsson, Tetra Pak group president and ceo, says: “This investment provides us with flexible premises for units such as our research and development department. The new buildings will enable us to increase our productivity in both development and production and will more than meet our future space requirements.”

Construction is expected to begin in late 2007/early 2008, with a completion date of late 2009. Tetra Pak says high energy efficiency and environmental factors will figure strongly in the building of the new facilities.

News of the Lund investment follows this March's announcement of Tetra Pak's plans to build a €60m “state-of-the-art” packaging plant in Hohhot in China.
