Tetra Pak gives French dairies a boost

17 May 2010

Auchan chose Tetra Pak to help launch a store brand of milk produced by small dairies in central France, in a pack which aims to highlights its commitment as a socially responsible discount retailer.

The Tetra Gemina Aseptic carries the FSC label to show the wood fibres come from well-managed forests and controlled sources.

“This environmentally sound package is a perfect fit for our French Mountain Milk. It helps support small dairy farmers who have difficulty surviving because their remote location makes access and collection a challenge,” said Jean-Pierre Baillivet, Auchan’s fresh food products group manager.

A slim distinctive shape and wide screw cap on a pitched slanted roof is said to give strong shelf-impact and ambient distribution at a competitive cost.
