Tetra Pak has struck a new deal to supply Tetra Brik Aseptic 200ml and 250ml Edge cartons to Valio, Finland’s leading dairy company, for its baby foods, protein drinks and creams.
Finland – a market that has the world’s second highest per capita Liquid Dairy Product (LDP) consumption rate, according to Tetra Pak – will be the latest to introduce the Tetra Brik Aseptic portion packs following the success of the format with dairy and juice brands in a number of markets including Saudi Arabia, France, Belgium, Italy and Brazil.
Tuomas Salusjärvi, vice president Beverage Business Unit at Valio, says: “It is amazing to see the difference brought by a simple improvement – the [Tetra Brik Aseptic Edge] sloping top creates space for a larger cap which enables the liquid to flow more smoothly. The package is really easy to pour or drink from, making it ideal for everyday use.”
Valio products in Tetra Brik Aseptic 200ml and 250ml Edge packages are produced on four Tetra Pak A3/CompactFlex filling lines, each with a capacity of 9,000 packs per hour.
By using QuickChange and QuickSwitch, Valio has the flexibility to switch production between 200ml and 250ml sizes, with the added option to use either a straw or a HeliCap 23 closure.
