Tear tape designs aid communications

2 March 2004

PP Payne has launched a fast and cost-effective range of generic printed tear tapes, which enable customers to communicate directly with consumers at the point of purchase using tailored on-pack promotional messages.

The development of a selection of 'off-the-shelf' designs has now extended the possibilities for the printed message tape, in particular enabling companies to react quickly to market needs such as short-term promotions.

The new message tapes retain Supastrip's proven consumer benefits of easy opening and tamper evidence, thus helping to project an 'added value' image for a brand.

The choice of designs includes messages ideal for launches [new], brand extensions [new flavour] and consumer convenience [tear here]. A chevron design is available to indicate easy opening, and a 'safety seal' message demonstrates tamper evidence.
