For foodservice use, Tate & Lyle is offering cane sugar in drums with handles which are being produced in the Netherlands.
The packs by Dorpack, a Weidenhammer company, are made from recycled paper and come in two variants, for caster and granulated sugar. They are guaranteed not to leak and to be water resistant.
The 3kg drum comprises three layers of 250 micron paper; the 12.5kg drum has three layers of 380 micron paper.
Printed labels by Verweij Labelling cover the entire drum.
