Tagging goes under cover

A covert anti-theft device has been developed by Paxar UK that incorporates a hidden electronic article surveillance or radio frequency tag into a multi-ply card.

The device is embedded into the centre of a rigid, branded card that is sealed to prevent access. Would be shoplifters are unaware of the tag until it activate's the store's Sensormatic or Checkpoint barrier security system.

The tag can be applied using string or attacher gun at point of manufacture, distribution or retail. Typical applications include clothing, cosmetics, luggage and footwear.
