Swedish students create indulgent chocolate packs

1 September 2006

Student designers in Sweden showed their creativity with these eye-catching cartonboard packs which harness the protective and printing qualities of Korsnäs Frövi Carry 350 g/m2 board.

The boxes were designed in response to a commission to the students from Stockholm confectioner Chokladfabriken, with the story covered during a Swedish television programme on design. The cartonboard’s brown inner layer conveys “a natural and genuine image” in a pack design Korsnäs says aims to “boost the emotions” via the use of additional flaps and tasting notes on the extra print surface.

“The students did a great job in capturing our image in the graphic design,” says Martin Isaksson, Chokladfabriken’s owner.

Frövi Carry is a four layer virgin fibreboard with an unbleached bottom layer and a bleached totally chlorine free clay-coated top layer.
