Sustainability project partner sought

5 September 2008

WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) is seeking a project partner to create a showcase of international packaging technologies which demonstrate cutting-edge systems and new approaches to sustainable packaging.

The selected project partner will work with WRAP to identify best practice in existing or new and near-to-market technologies from around the world - and then showcase them on the WRAP website and at events. Examples will be sought from across the grocery and home improvement sectors. They should demonstrate resource efficiency with a focus on packaging waste prevention. They should also look at reducing food and product wastage by considering all stages in the supply chain, from manufacture to distribution and final disposal by the consumer.

A steering group of industry experts, including Dick Searle, chief executive of The Packaging Federation, will help steer the project and provide guidance as required.
