Superfos now offers metallic labels on its plastic paint packs

Superfos has teamed with CCL Labels to offer the option of metallic look labels on its plastic Paintainers in a move it says addresses the big paint producers' continuing preference for the “sharp look and feel” provided by metal packs.

The company is one of Europe's leading plastic “can” suppliers to the paint sector: “On the paint market we still experience a hardcore preference for metal packaging solutions in selected segments,” explains product manager Birthe Bebe Nielsen. “This is, however, based mostly on image and perception and forces industry to compromise on performance versus looks or vice-versa. “With our new metallic-look labels, paint manufacturers can choose a sharp metal look for premium paint brands without compromising on performance. The labels are 100% PP, meaning all the supreme benefits of the plastic solutions are maintained. Moreover, the see-through transparent material makes it possible to see how much paint is left, or the product's colour, without opening the can.”

Developed as an alternative to metal containers, Paintainers offer a straight-sided design, “user-friendly” opening and closing systems, good stackability, “no risk of dents” and the ability to sustain temperatures down to -18 degs C.
