Strapped for cash and time

30 July 2002

Signode has launched a series of strapping machines designed to increase productivity and reduce operating costs.

The LB-2300 series is available in automatic operator controlled or operatorless versions. Both models incorporate the company's patented 'jam-free' technology, enabling cycle speeds to reach up to 52 straps/min.

With the addition of an automatic cut off and re-feed feature, the operatorless machine allows the strapping process to be carried out without supervision. It will automatically eject misfed strap, re-threads itself and continues strapping. A multiple strap function can be supplied to allow three or more straps to be placed on the package.

The operator controlled version is suitable for applications where throughputs are lower.

Both models come with the option of a single or dual compression bar and can be used with Signode's 9mm or 10.5mm PP strap.
