Storopack brings down storage and handling costs for bubble wrap

26 June 2012

Storopack describes its new AIRplus Bubble on-demand protective air cushion packaging as “the first air cushion system of its kind”, offering narrow individual sections for the efficient wrapping of small-sized items.

A single section of AIRplus Bubble contains two rows with seven round air chambers each, which allows the packer to divide the cushioning wrap “intuitively”, without having to search for the perforation.

Manufactured on compact machines, Storopack says AIRplus Bubble is designed in keeping with its “Working Comfort” concept and, in cutting costs for storage and handling, provides an alternative to off-the-shelf bubble wrap.

For the recipient of goods packed with AIRplus Bubble, the advantage is that with one cut the air escapes, leaving only a small amount of film for disposal.

Storopack says it has equipped the new air cushion product with an air chamber layout that ensures maximum use of the wrap (less unused foil at the edges).

AIRplus Bubble is available in Storopack’s three-layer CX film quality, ensuring “optimum product protection” for users.

Headquartered in Metzingen, Germany, with two divisions, Molding and Packaging, Storopack’s product portfolio includes both customized and flexible packaging systems and their integration into customer packaging processes.
