Customer demand for a high-white label paper that would provide strong on-shelf impact at point of sale led Stora Enso’s Global Speciality Papers group to develop its new NovaSet product, launched last month.
NovaSet is an 80g/m2 high-white natural matt label paper that offers wet strength, alkali resistance and high wet opacity. It is optimised for trouble-free, economical use on printing and labelling machines for wines and spirits, as well as premium mineral waters and soft drinks.
Stora says that thanks to its “outstanding printability” and numerous finishing options – such as four available embossing patterns, NovaSet can easily be integrated into any brand line and used for the production of wet-glue or self-adhesive labels.
Stora Enso now offers five label papers – NovaSet, VivaSet, MatisSet, ArtiSet and SuperCote WS – in up to six different surface structures.
