Stickpacking machine should save money, time and materials

13 October 2006

A high speed stickpacking machine for food and pharmaceutical applications that the manufacturer says will reduce material costs for this fast-growing packaging format has been launched by Sigpack Systems.

Sigpack says some product applications for stickpacks are predicted to see a 38% demand growth by 2007.

The RA/KG4 Multilane stickpack system is designed to offer high reliability and comes with an integral cartoner. Suitable for packaging powder, pellets, granules and piece goods for the pharmaceutical, food and non-food industries, and requiring “minimal” space, it produces up to 1,000 pouches and 100 cartons/min. Stickpacks can be created with finseal or overlapping longitudinal seals; the security and integrity of both are “guaranteed” via the use of precision servo-driven sealers. Similarly the multilane machine offers “easy coding options and precise weight control”, plus a leaflet insertion facility.
