Stampiton team in £14M buyout

17 February 2004

Renaissance Mark Stampiton, the £14M turnover Whaley Bridge-based label printer for the food retailing, stationery and home office sectors, has been acquired by its management team from US parent company Renaissance Mark for an undisclosed sum.

With the MBO's completion, the company's name has changed back to its original Stampiton Labels. The management team, led by managing director David Smith, also includes sales director Derek Maskell and finance director Tony Worthington.

"Stampiton's operations will continue as usual and the focus will remain on improving service and product offering," explains Smith.

"Additional investment will ensure Stampiton continues to be known as a company that recognises technology as a means of enhancing customer satisfaction."
