Spy Studio Creates Brand for Reon

Slick Look for the First Caffeine Strips to Market in the UK

SPY Studio, the London design agency, has today announced its role in the brand creation of newly launched Reon, touted as the first caffeine strips to hit the market in the UK. The product, which is backed by Amsterdam-based Fontem Ventures, is a pack of eight soluble caffeine strips, sold in stores and online and is being marketed to "people who live life to the full."

SPY was brought on board to create a brand, which would bring the product to life and convey the zesty, fresh and fun spirit, which lies at the heart of Reon. But as well as conveying these values, Fontem Ventures wanted a product that looked sleek and aspirational and would make it stand out on the shelves.

Olga Rusnak, Lifestyle Energy Category Director at Fontem Ventures explains:

"With a lightweight, ultra-portable pack of eight fast dissolving film strips, Reon has been designed to complement everyday life, fitting as easily into your pocket as your lifestyle. It is perfect for people looking for a smarter alternative to their usual caffeinated soft drinks. We needed a brand that would embody this ethos and we wanted it to look modern and smart. We think SPY has done a fantastic job of nailing the look."

Simon Clark, founding director of SPY Studio commented: "Analysts say we are seeing significant growth in caffeine related products, as consumers seek help to get them through their busy days, so this is a fascinating area to be involved in. The challenge for us in creating the Reon brand was to convey the verve, fun and energy of the product, but do so in a sophisticated way that would appeal to consumers. As it launches, we look forward to seeing the product flying out of stores."
