Spreading made simple

15 January 2007

Czech brand owner Net Plasy's new Bonté bread spreads are packed in consumer-convenient k2 polypropylene tubs from Austria's Greiner Packaging, incorporating a special spreading tool moulded to the underside of the lid.

This is the first application of Greiner's LID pack concept; LID stands for the German “Löffel im Deckel” or “spoon in lid”. After removing the clip-on lid, the consumer simply pushes gently on the image of the tool on the upper side, which detaches the tool from the underside. Lid integrity and closeability are unaffected.

For maximum shelf impact the180g Bonté packs, on sale since November, feature attractive in-mould labels.
