German soup manufac-turer Stockmeyer has introduced a new range of premium soups in fluted cans for the UK market.
The containers are manufactured by Crown Food Europe in a new 400g decorated can size with the idea of creating an original retro look as an alternative to typical metal soup containers.
They are fully inter-changeable on existing customer filling lines and compatible with existing continuous or static retort systems. A spokesman for the filler, Buss Fertig-gerichte, says: “Our choice is based on the strength of the experience with the shaped 800g can we use in the UK.”
The can, which has easy-open ends, also features attractive litho-printed decoration with a design to optimise the vertical fluting.
