Sonoco goes easy on closures in Brazil

Sonoco plans to open a manufacturing facility in Resende, Brazil, to produce steel easy-open closures for use on metal cans. The plant will be fully operational in the first quarter of 2004 and annual capacity is projected to be approximately 1bn closures.
