With over 25% of photo CDs mailed directly to customers, Stora Enso Activation has been quick to develop a more reliable alternative to the standard jewel case, which is prone to damage in transit.
Stora's new Discbox Slider (DBS) system has been adopted by Fujicolor Sweden, whose spokesperson Anders Hegart commented: "The case should guarantee an optimally safe environment for the CD throughout the whole logistics chain. Photo CDs are a special service and a high-tech product – the case should reflect modern technology design."
