With retailer demand for shelf-ready packaging within very tight deadlines putting manufacturers and brand owners under pressure, Smurfit has launched a new service – "shelf-ready in just one day".
Customers spend just one day at a dedicated Smurfit's facility, with access to structural design, technical and graphic design expertise and can then "leave with a shelf-ready solution that meets all their needs".
Mike Drummond, sales and marketing director, says: "Spending just one day with Smurfit will take the stress out of the race to become shelf-ready. We have developed a sophisticated process which turns the customer's brief into reality in a very short time."
The company claims to have a "unique suite of innovation tools" at its disposal, including its InnoBook, a database of packaging designs from over 200 designers worldwide,
Customers will be asked to provide some key information and product samples in advance of the day to enable Smurfit to be "well prepared".
