Slash plastics waste by 95%

23 June 2003

Imagine a machine no bigger than a large fridge that can reduce plastics waste by 95% with no toxic emissions at the rate of 10k/hr.

Used hamburger cartons, plastic cups and bottles and PS packaging can all be fed into Taylor's standard thermal densifier, producing a sanitised slab of waste, the size of a floor tile, worth up to £120/ton.

A ton of this waste would normally need two 25-ton lorries to transport it to landfill. Once densified, it is reduced to the size of four filing cabinets, cutting transport and landfill costs.

Every year 3M tons of plastics and polystyrene goes to landfill in the UK alone.

The densifier can be made to order as a larger machine on a modular basis with ever increasing capacity.
