Shropshire, UK-based packaging solutions company Sirane has joined forces with Fispak, a Dublin-based food packaging and ingredients supplier, to bring a range of new food packaging technologies to new markets in Ireland.
Sirane has a number of food packaging specialisms, including absorbency, shelf-life, ovenable and microwaveable bags, susceptors and many other packaging solutions.
Recent innovations by the company include Sira-Cook Supreme, an ovenable cooking bag, which can be used on a barbecue; Sira-Cook Smart-Release, a dual-compartment microwave cooking bag with a timed release for the “perfect infusion” of sauce and ingredients; and Dri-Fresh Fresh-Hold, odour absorbing pads for vacuum-packed meat.
“Fispak are an innovative food solutions company and are a perfect partner to take Sirane’s products into the Irish market,” says Sirane managing director Simon Balderson.
“Their experience and market presence in Ireland should allow both Sirane and Fispak to grow their business and take innovative packaging to many new customers.”
Fispak co-director Rory McNulty adds: “We believe there will be a large appetite for Sirane’s products in Ireland, and we’re looking forward to getting out there and introducing the range to new and existing customers.”
Fispak will act as distributor for Sirane products throughout the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
