An automated camera system for checking label position and quality on high speed lines has been developed by automation and control specialist GoldLogic Control Systems.
It employs industry standard cameras linked to a PC program and is said to be significantly less complex to use than competitor equipment.
The Automated Camera Package Checking System uses DVT or Siemens VS270 cameras and an "easy-to-use" PC program that allows operators to "teach" the system label design and locations at the touch of a button, defining a tolerance level for "good" or bad" labels.
Inspection time is lower than 30ms, meaning the system can keep up with lines running at 2000 products/min.
