Manufacturers have until 28 September to sign up for a free help to improve
resource efficiency and save money from WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme).
Rethink Waste, run with support from manufacturers’ organisation EEF, will show companies how they can make significant savings by changing their approach to dealing with waste.
Three online modules will help businesses understand how much waste their company produces, what it costs and how to implement a waste saving plan. Participants will also have access to a virtual factory tour, audiocasts and a web conference.
Financial savings can amount to £1,000 per employee, claims WRAP.
“The true cost of waste includes waste raw materials, energy and labour, and can be around five to 20 times the cost of disposal,” says Mike Savage, Rethink Waste manager on behalf of WRAP.
