SIG Pack signals good news for UK economy

29 May 2003

SIG Pack Systems boosted sales by around 20% over 2001 to produce a record turnover in 2002 of CHF252M.

Largely responsible for the rise has been the market's response to the company's new Systegra packaging system. The installation of Systegra multi-leg lines accounted for around 50% of turnover in 2002.

The company also increased market penetration in pharmaceutical packaging where orders rose by 50% over 2001. Just over 25% of the company's orders in 2002 came from UK companies – good news for the UK economy.
