Rank Group’s Beverage Packaging Holdings, which owns packaging machinery manufacturer SIG Combibloc based in Switzerland, is buying the American Reynolds Group.
The acquisition includes Reynolds’ Closure Systems International (CSI) Group, a manufacturer of caps and closures for drinks, and Reynolds Consumer Products (RCP) Group, producing aluminum foil, plastics wraps and bags.
The deal worth $3 billion (€2 billion) is expected to be completed by the end of this year, funded through equity, cash and debt.
