Packaging trade show organiser easyFairs reports a huge increase in exhibitor commitment to its combined Packaging Innovations, Ecopack, Packtech and Contract Pack event, which returns to Birmingham’s NEC on February 11 and 12, 2009. More than 300 companies have already confirmed stands - an 80 per cent increase on the same stage last year.
EasyFairs UK managing director Peter Heath comments: “The ‘Credit Crunch’ is resulting in a shift to low cost alternatives because consumers and businesses don’t need, or perhaps can’t afford, the frills. Our packaging shows enable exhibitors to do business, develop new contacts and make sales at a fraction of the cost of a traditional trade show. Exhibitors want a tangible return on investment in addition to raising their profile.”
Packaging Innovations focuses on the finished product; Ecopack is dedicated to sustainable, environmentally sensitive packaging concepts and solutions; and Packtech highlights innovations in packaging machinery, printing systems and converting technology. Contract Pack, held in conjunction with the British Contract Manufacturers & Packers Association, showcases the full spectrum of services, including pack design, blister/clam packing, shrinkwrapping, labelling, point of sale displays, pick and pack, warehousing and distribution.
Last year’s shows are said to have attracted almost 4,000 visitors over two days.
