Shanklin shrinkwrapper features servo technology

Sealed Air launched has unveiled the European, metric version of its Shanklin Omni form, fill and seal shrinkwrapper - featuring a simplified touchscreen in a choice of European languages.

Each machine is available with a range of “unique” plug-and-play indeed modules, exchangeable to accommodate different products “in minutes”.

The two-model range comprises the Omni G, a traditional drive-based machine which operates at 80 cycles/min and has a standard 200mm jaw opening, and the Omni S, with a servo-driven end seal for higher packaging speeds. Its additional programmable features include automatic positioning for end-seal and opening, end-seal centreline, side-seal conveyor/product width positioning and side-seal centreline. Operating at 100 cycles/min it has a 250mm standard jaw opening.

Both models are available on left-to-right or right-to-left product configuration, while interchangeable infeeds available includes single-belt, flighted and dual belt.

Servo motion-control technology instantly recognises when a new in-feeder has been attached, while the large multi-language display screen allows set-up with the minimum product knowledge. Additional user information can be stored in the 100-programme memory.
