Sessions' two-sided label solution

20 November 2006

Sessions of York now has a solution - Glue Zone - for companies wanting to incorporate multi-colour text and graphics onto the reverse as well as the front of single layer pressure-sensitive labels previously prevented by the need to cover the entire reverse with adhesive.

Following “major investment” in hotmelt screen adhesive equipment, it can now “spot apply” adhesive very precisely to labels to suit customer requirements; it says often a smaller area will provide optimum boding while leaving most of the reverse label face free for text and graphics

Says the company: “Not all applications require 100% adhesive coverage. Applying patterned adhesive after twin face printing and combining with profile cutting and interior perforation, GlueZone provides the added advantage of the facility for flip-up or removable tabs which can accommodate additional text and graphics for promotional or legal requirements. With the option of different adhesive coat weights on the same label, GlueZone provides for the addition of a low-tack 'lift-here' tab and labels can include creases and perforations to form packets or pouches”.
