The XUF fibre-optic light guides are available in a range of types for through-beam and diffuse reflection applications. A sensing range of 300mm is achievable with 2.2mm diameter fibres that are 2m in length, in through-beam configuration. This can be extended to 2000mm with optional lens accessories. Diffuse reflection versions are available with nominal ranges up to 95mm.
