Seminar series

27 November 2009

Environmental packaging issue will be covered in the Cucumber Seminar series being run by Brunel University in the UK.

Brunel’s Designplus team has asked Laurel Miller, of am associates, based in West Sussex, to lead the first one on 10 December, at the Museum of Brands, in London, entitled Is it really necessary to shrinkwrap a cucumber?

Ms Miller is writing a packaging handbook with the same title and says: “Packaging designers today are either deluged with conflicting advice, or face a dearth of reliable information. The environmental challenge can turn into a real advantage with the right knowledge informing your creative process.”

A further four seminars are planned up to July 2010, with the venue alternating between the Museum of Brands and Brunel University.
